Tynice Martin Named to WBCA All-Region 3 Team

The Women's Basketball Coaches Association released its All-Region teams on Thursday, naming Tynice Martin to the All-Region 3 team. The sophomore from Atlanta was named MOP in the Big 12 tournament that WVU won and was a regular-season All-Big 12 First Teamer. Now, Martin is up for All-American consideration.

WVU lineman Marcell Lazard no longer with the team

Chris Anderson, 247 Sports, reports that Marcell Lazard, offensive tackle, is no longer with the team. He missed the first four practices to start the spring and the team confirmed on Tuesday that he is not on the roster. He is set to graduate in May and will be eligible to transfer and play in 2017.

WVU's baseball game at Penn State postponed

Due to a cold front coming into the Central Pennsylvania area, the WVU-Penn State game originally scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed. The make-up date will be announced within the next few weeks. The Mountaineers and Nittany Lions are still scheduled to play each other in Morgantown on Tuesday, May 9.
