West Virginia Mountaineers freshman defensive lineman Tomiwa Durojaiye has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal just says after the Mountaineers beat the North Carolina Tar Heels 30-10 in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. Durojaiye transferred to the Mountaineers from Kentucky, where he played as a freshman.

In 13 games for the Mountaineers, Durojaiye recorded 23 tackles, 9 solo, 6 TFLs and 3.5 sacks. Against the Tar Heels, the defensive lineman record 4 tackles, 1 solo, 0.5 sacks and 1 TFL.

Durojaiye joins Jared Bartlett and Jalen Thorton as players who have entered the portal with the start of the new year. Bartlett and Thorton both walked on senior day and Bartlett previously told the staff he would be transferring but would play in the bowl game to help the team.

The Mountaineers now have 14 players who have entered the portal and are at 89 scholarships, meaning at least 4 more players will need to leave to get down to the 85-man limit.
