PORTAL ROUNDUP: Three West Virginia Mountaineer Defensive Players Enter Transfer Portal

Three defensive players, including starting defensive tackle Mike Lockhart have entered the transfer portal

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: SEP 30 West Virginia at TCU

On Thursday, the West Virginia Mountaineers had two defensive players, Hershey McLaurin and Andrew Wilson-Lamp enter their names into the NCAA Transfer Portal. Today, Friday December 8, starting defensive tackle Mike Lockhart entered his name into the portal.

First I want to thank God for giving the ability & skill to play the game that I love. Without him, I know that I would not be in this position that I am today. I would also like to thank all the coaches for giving me a chance to play the game at the Division 1 level and I want to thank the athletic training staff for keep me as healthy as possible. With that said, I will be entering the transfer portal as a grad transfer with one year of eligibility remaining.

Mike Lockhart has not posted on Twitter.

The transfers bring the Mountaineers losses up to eight scholarship players: Jeremiah Aaron, WR, Cortez Braham, WR, Lance Dixon, S, Davis Mallinger, WR, Christion Stokes, S, Ja’Shaun Poke, WR, Hershey McLaurin, S, Andrew Wilson-Lamp, CB, Mike Lockhart, DL
