West Virginia Mountaineers safety Keyshawn Cobb, who played against Penn State before injuring himself against Duquesne, has announced via X, formerly known as Twitter, that he will enter the transfer portal.

First I want to thank everyone in the West Virginia football program for everything they’ve done up to this point. For helping me academically and athletically from the strength staff all the way down to the trainers.

My brothers, I am forever thankful for the relationships we’ve built while I’ve been here. I want to thank entire West Virginia staff for believing in me, and the rest of the strength and conditioning staff for developing me into a better football player. Above all, I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to come here and continue living my dreams.

With that being said, I would like to announce that I have entered my name in the transfer portal as a grad transfer.

It should be noted that Cobb, along with several other Mountaineers have entered their name into the portal as grad transfers and not as undergrads.
