Neal Brown has snagged a commitment from Chandler, Arizona quarterback Nicco Marchiol, continuing the momentum of a recruiting class that looks on pace to be West Virginia’s first Top 25 effort since the 2009 class that saw Geno Smith, Tavon Austin, and Stedman Bailey head to Morgantown.

Marchiol is a four star prospect in the 247 recruiting composite and comes in as the 23rd ranked quarterback nationally. He was previously committed to Florida State before reopening his recruitment earlier this month. The Mountaineers beat out Arizona State and Michigan States for the four star’s services.
Looking to the future, Marchiol has a reputation of a strong recruiter of his peers, a skill that will be put to good use as Neal Brown uses this summer to try and close on West Virginia’s best recruiting class in more than a decade—one that looks to add a couple more four star prospects before the opening of fall camp.
