Taz Sherman Returns to WVU Basketball

Taz Sherman will return for his fifth season

Taz Sherman, the fifth year senior from Missouri City, Texas has announced he will return for his fifth season. Sherman has averaged over 13 points in 2020 on 41% shooting including 35.9% from three and 87% from the free throw line. Sherman started 6 of 28 games last year and finished second on the team in three pointers made (47). He was named to the All-Big 12 Team as an honorable mention. Sherman was a double-double machine, collecting 21 of them.

“We are thrilled to have Taz back for another season of Mountaineer basketball. He went from scoring five points a game in his first season with use to scoring more than 13 points per game last season. Taz explored his options in a professional manner, while finishing his bachelor’s degree in May. Tax is a leader on and off the court, and he will provide us with veteran leadership this season” said Mountaineers head coach Bob Huggins on the announcement of Taz’s return.
