Series History: This will be the 21st meeting between the West Virginia Mountaineers and Kansas Jayhawks. Kansas leads the series, 15-5. All 20 meetings have been since the Mountaineers joined the Big 12 in 2012. Kansas has won the last five meetings in the series. WVU’s last win was a 65-64 victory at home on Jan. 19, 2019.
Earlier this season, Kansas defeated West Virginia in Lawrence, 79-65, on Dec. 22. WVU has won five of its last seven at home against Kansas, and the Mountaineers are 5-3 against Kansas at the WVU Coliseum.

PREDICTION THAT WILL BE WRONG
West Virginia has won five of the last seven games against the Jayhawks in Morgantown, and although I expect this one to be back-and-forth for the majority of the game I think the Mountaineers pull it out in the end and split the season series.
Look for Derek Culver to be the key for West Virginia’s success today, with McBride and Sean McNeil both getting into the double digits.
