Keeping track of West Virginia Mountaineers in the pros

We know it’s hard to keep up with your favorite players after they move on to the next level, so we’re keeping track of what your favorite Mountaineers are up to so you don’t have to.

NFL: AFC Wild Card Round-Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

With nearly 70 former West Virginia athletes plying their crafts at the next level, it sometimes feels like we lose track of how our favorite Mountaineers are doing after they’ve left Morgantown.

Obviously it’s easier to keep up with those getting playing time in the NFL or Jevon Carter winning over the Phoenix Suns fans just the same way he did with all of us, but professional sports doesn’t just begin and end with the NFL and NBA.

We’ve put together this quick reference guide to keep track of every former West Virginia athlete currently playing in a professional league. We know moves on NFL practice squads and professional basketball leagues around the world happen without much fanfare, but our goal is to catch those as they happen so we can help you continue supporting our fellow Mountaineers.
