Keeping track of West Virginia football departures, coaching changes so far this offseason

The offseason is well upon us. We’re keeping track of all the moves.

The West Virginia Mountaineers are entering a bit of a weird offseason, compared to any normal year, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 season did not count toward eligibility for any student athlete, putting many seniors at a crossroads in their collegiate careers. There will be some that forego the extra eligibility and graduate as normal, others that will take the opportunity to return to Morgantown for something more closely resembling a normal season in 2021, and others that will use that extra year of eligibility and the one-time transfer rule to move on to a different school for their final season.

There’s also bound to be changes on the Mountaineer coaching staff, as the majority of assistants have completed the second year of their standard two-year contract.

Here, we will be keeping track of the departures, additions, coaching changes, and more in one handy place, so it might be wise to keep this bookmarked. We will update it as more comes in throughout the next several months.
