West Virginia University Sports Hall of Famer and the founder of the Mountaineer women’s basketball program, Kittie Blakemore has passed away. Blakemore launched the program in 1973 and spent 19 seasons leading the team to over 300 wins.

Tennis Earns ITA Academic Honors

The West Virginia women’s tennis team was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team for the seventh consecutive year. In addition to the team’s accolade, four Mountaineers were named ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2020 season. Juniors Giovanna Caputo and Anne-Sophie Courteau, as well as sophomores Anastasiia Bovolskaia and Nicole Roc were recognized.

All ACC schools and Notre Dame will play 10 conference games plus one nonconference game that must take place in the home state of the ACC institution.
