Voluntary workouts begin in less than a week for the WVU men’s basketball program, and there is already one Mountaineer that has tested positive for coronavirus.

West Virginia head coach Neal Brown said that July 13th will be the official return date for WVU staff and players to the Milan Puskar Center. Coach Brown also said that he is still evaluating transfer prospects and will continue to do so right up until the start of fall training camp.

The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced that one Mountaineer men’s basketball player has tested positive for COVID-19 and has entered a self-isolation period for 14 days. Voluntary workouts for WVU men’s basketball begins on July 6th for Mountaineers who test negative for the virus.

Lynch Named to 2020 All-Big 12 Preseason Team

West Virginia senior Brianna Lynch has been selected for the 2020 All-Big 12 Volleyball Preseason Team. Lynch, who plays middle blocker for the Mountaineers, will hope to help her team improve this year, after WVU finished the 2019 season with a 12-17 record.

Swimming and Diving Mountaineers tabbed Scholar All-America Teams

The West Virginia men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams have been named Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for their success in the classroom during the 2020 spring semester. The award recognizes college swimming and diving teams that achieve a cumulative semester GPA of 3.0 or higher.
