WVU names winners of Iron Mountaineer, Nickolich awards
West Virginia head coach Neal Brown announced the Iron Mountaineer and Tommy Nickolich Memorial Award winners during his video conference Wednesday. The Iron Mountaineers were redshirt senior safety Dante Bonamico, junior safety Noah Guzman, redshirt sophomore offensive lineman James Gmiter, and redshirt sophomore wide receiver Bryce Wheaton. Redshirt senior safety Osman Kamara won the Nickolich Award.

WVU’s Caridi Excited to Call Upcoming Big 12 esports Tournament
Tony Caridi can now add Madden NFL 20 to his announcing repertoire. The Big 12 Conference and its media rights partner, Learfield IMG College, announced the launch of an esports tournament for its members schools. “Big 12 This Week” host Bill Pollock will call the action and he will be joined by radio announcers from each Big 12 school, including Caridi.

The Big 12 Conference is considering moving the Big 12 Championship Game back a week as a contingency plan amid COVID-19 concerns. Athletic directors in the league are considering moving the game from Saturday, December 5 to Saturday, December 12, as a bit of insurance.
