According to a report from Mike Casazza of EerSports.com, senior linebacker Shea Campbell has entered the transfer portal and would be immediately eligible at his next school. A tweet from Sean Manning of the Domion Post indicates that Campbell will transfer down to the Division II level. Campbell, a former walk-on, who earned a scholarship with the West Virginia Mountaineers, started games the past two seasons, tallying 79 tackles and 3 sacks in the past two seasons.
Can confirm @mikecasazza’s report that Shea Campbell is in the transfer portal. His eligibility at WVU was up, so he could not return to the Mountaineers, but had another year if he transferred down, so he’ll be at the D2 level. More to come on this odd rule.

Shea would start six of 13 games in 2018 as injuries to the entire linebacking corp forced him into action. He was named Defensive Player of the Week for the team after intercepting a pass against Baylor.
This past season, Campbell recorded stats in 11 of the 12 games of the season and showed a steady progression throughout the season. His best game of the season came in the season finale against the TCU Horned Frogs when he recorded 8 tackles, 4 solo and a sack in a 20-17 win.
