The old adage in football is that the war is won in the trenches and that remains true today. Everyone talks about the top quarterbacks and top playmakers but you win and lose games based on your offensive and defensive linemen. West Virginia Mountaineers head coach Neal Brown understands this and made it a priority to keep instate talent, especially top in-state talent. One of the first players of the new 2021 class, Wyatt Milum, a 4-star offensive lineman from Spring Valley, gives the staff a top player both in state and in the nation.

Milum is a 290 pound mean machine, a player who had offers from all of the big teams including the Alabama Crimson Tide, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Penn State Nittany Lions and our rivals the Virginia Tech Hokies.
Milum is a big four-star player. His composite score on 247 is 0.96 and he is rated as the 81st overall player in the nation and the number one player in the state of West Virginia.
