Series History: West Virginia and Gonzaga will meet for the fifth time in all-time series play that began in 2012, with the Bulldogs leading the series 4-0. The two schools last met on March 23, 2017, in the NCAA Sweet 16 in San Jose, California, with the Zags coming away with a 61-58 victory.

As much as I would love to have blind optimism about this game, I see no way West Virginia can compete with the Zags unless our shooters have an insane night where they don’t miss anything. Gonzaga is No. 1 for a reason. They’re going to score in bunches, and this could get out of hand quickly.
