Coming off of a 36-point loss at Iowa State, which was Neal Brown’s second-most lopsided loss in his tenure as WVU’s head coach, the challenge does not get any easier for West Virginia. #13 Oklahoma is coming to Milan Puskar Stadium for the regular season finale on Saturday.

WVU women’s hoops opens conference play with tough test at home vs. No. 7 Baylor

The West Virginia women’s basketball team tips off the Big 12 schedule with a clash at home with the top team in the conference, #7 Baylor. The undefeated Mountaineers are coming in hot after taking down Tennessee at home in overtime. Action gets underway tonight at 7 p.m. on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.

Jasmine Carson granted immediate eligibility by NCAA

West Virginia women’s basketball junior guard Jasmine Carson has been declared eligible by the NCAA for competition for the 2020-21 season. Carson transferred to WVU from Georgia Tech where she averaged 6.7 points per game.

Mountaineers in the Pros: Week 13

In Week 13 of the 2020 NFL Season, six former Mountaineers saw action. Karl Joseph recorded three solo tackles and a fumble recovery in the Cleveland Browns’ win over the Tennessee Titans. Nick Kwiatkoski started at middle linebacker for the Las Vegas Raiders and recorded seven tackles against the New York Jets, with five being solo stops.

No. 2 Baylor wins delayed home opener 83-52 over SFA

Adam Flagler came off the bench and scored 14 points to lead #2 Baylor to an 83-52 win over Stephen F. Austin in the Bears’ home opener Wednesday, a night later than scheduled and against a different opponent than planned.

Dosunmu, balance help No. 6 Illinois beat No. 10 Duke 83-68

Ayo Dosunmu had 18 points and a career-high 12 rebounds while #6 Illinois shot 58% to beat #10 Duke 83-68 on Tuesday night in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Kofi Cockburn added 13 points for the Fighting Illini, who jumped to a 14-2 lead and never looked back to regroup from last week’s loss to #2 Baylor.

Bohannon scores 24, leads No. 3 Iowa past No. 16 UNC 93-80

Jordan Bohannon scored 24 points to lead four players in double figures for #3 Iowa, and the Hawkeyes beat #16 North Carolina, 93-80, in an ACC/Big Ten Challenge game. Iowa center Luka Garza had 16 points and 14 rebounds, his 24th career double-double.
