For the first time in 2020, WVU will allow fans into Milan Puskar Stadium.
This will be the Mountaineers’ third noon kick this season, all at home. WVU is 2-0 in home games and 2-0 in noon kickoffs this season.
Both the Mountaineers (2-1, 1-1) and the Jayhawks (0-3, 0-2) will rest this Saturday. WVU is coming into the by week with a 27-21 win over Baylor. Kansas will look to reset after a 7-47 loss to conference leaders Oklahoma State.
This game is one of just two Big 12 games during week six of the college football season.
WVU is 8-1 in the all-time series, 7-1 since the teams became Big 12 opponents, and has won six straight in the series. KU’s only win was in 2013 in Lawrence. The Mountaineers took down KU 29-24 in Lawrence last season.
The stadium will operate at 25% capacity on Saturday, Oct. 17 as part of the safety measures being implemented in response to COVID-19. This will toal about 15,000 fans. The University will also take additional steps to increase fan safety, such as requiring that facemasks be worn by fans, prohibiting all tailgating, and having contactless entry through mobile ticketing.
