West Virginia men’s basketball announced on Tuesday four additional non-conference games to the 2020-21 schedule. These will be interspersed throughout December, both before and during conference play.
The season will open with three games in the Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic, November 25-27, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. WVU will return to Morgantown to host Youngstown State on Wednesday, Dec. 2.
The Mountaineers will play three more games before the Big 12 opener, with two being announced in the release. Robert Morris will come to the WVU Coliseum on Wednesday, Dec. 9 and Richmond will visit on Sunday, Dec. 13.
Still to be announced is the Big East/Big 12 Battle opponent, but the game will be played on December 5 or 6.
WVU will start its Big 12 campaign on Friday, Dec. 18, hosting Iowa State. It will play one more conference game before the end of the year, a road matchup against Kansas on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
Before the end of 2020, WVU will host Buffalo at the Coliseum on Tuesday, Dec. 29. This will serve as a good warm-up as the Mountaineers prepare for conference games to start 2021.
The final non-conference game on the schedule is the Big 12/SEC Challenge matchup against Florida, on Saturday, Jan. 30, in Morgantown.
