The West Virginia Mountaineers will wear their True Blues when they face the Baylor Bears on Saturday. The set of true blues goes back quite a ways but back in 2014, it became a standard for the team when the TCU Horned Frogs came to Morgantown with ESPN College Gameday in tow. The Mountaineers would lose the game to the Horned Frogs but would then go on a 2-game winning streak in the true blues until they faced the Oklahoma Sooners in 2016. Since that meeting with the Sooners, the Mountaineers are 1-3 with their monotone blue uniform set. The only win came in 2018 against TCU.
Baylor is a 3-point favorite after dismantling the Kansas Jayhawks last week while the Mountaineers struggled to provide any real offense against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Stillwater. Last year, the Mountaineers traveled to Waco on a Thursday night and nearly pulled off the upset but came up short in a 17-14 loss that saw the Mountaineers have plenty of chances but too many turnovers.
The Mountaineers are 5-3 against the Bears since joining the Big 12 and 4-0 against the Bears in Morgantown.
