Player of the Week
Daryl Worley (DB, OAK) had the nightmare scenario of starting as CB1 against Pat Mahomes. Worley handled his business, for the most part, recording 7 tackles (6 solo), and recovering a fumble for 6 yards.
Those Who Played
Rasul Douglas (CB, PHI) had the nearly-impossible task of stopping Julio Jones... which he didn’t do. To be fair, no corner ever truly does. He did finish with 2 tackles and had a pass breakup in the loss.
Mark Glowinski (OL, IND) got the start at right guard for the Colts, but struggled for the second consecutive week to protect Jacoby Brissett. After signing a big $18M extension with Indy over the offseason, the front office can’t be pleased with Glowinksi’s performance to start the season. He’ll look to greatly improve in Week 3 vs. the Falcons in the Colts home opener.
Karl Joseph (S, OAK) played about half the possible snaps for Oakland (48), and recorded 3 tackles in a loss to the Chiefs.
Nick Kwiatkoski (LB, CHI) played exclusively on special teams, but did not record any statistics.
David Long Jr. (LB, TEN) did not record any statistics, but saw 13 snaps on special teams in his first live game action in the NFL.
Wendell Smallwood (RB, WAS) got his first game action as a member of the Redskins, playing 16 snaps, tallying 1 carry for 4 yards and 2 catches for 9 yards.
Quinton Spain (OL, BUF) started and played 91% of the snaps in the Bills win over the Giants. *I mistakenly posted that he did not play last week, when indeed he did. That is completely my fault for overlooking him on the NFL snap count. Sometimes it’s hard with offensive linemen because they (usually) don’t record any stats!
Trevon Wesco (TE, NYJ) played a handful of snaps in the Jets loss on Monday Night Football, but did not record any statistics.
Kyzir White (LB/S, LAC) got another start at LB, recording 7 more tackles (6 solo) to continue his hot start to the season.
Those Who Are Injured
Tavon Austin (WR, DAL) is still in concussion protocol and is considered week-to-week.
Bruce Irvin (LB/DE, CAR) is still dealing with a hamstring issue.
Those Who Did Not Play
Yodny Cajuste (OL, NE) was inactive.
Najee Goode (LB, JAC)
Will Grier (QB, CAR) was inactive
Gary Jennings Jr. (WR, SEA) was inactive
Geno Smith (QB, SEA)
Those That are on a Practice Squad
Shelton Gibson (WR, CLE)
Adam Pankey (OL, TEN)
David Sills V (WR, NYG)
Those That are Free Agents
Dravon Askew-Henry (S, FA)
Don Barclay (OL, FA)
Kevin White (WR, FA)
