Time, Date, Broadcast for West Virginia-Missouri Matchup in Big 12/SEC Challenge Announced

The Tigers and Mountaineers will meet on the basketball court for the conference crossover event.

As part of the annual Big 12/SEC Challenge, West Virginia men’s basketball will host Missouri on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at noon EST, the Big 12 announced today. The game will be aired on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU, which will be decided later.

These two schools met during the first cross-conference showdown, in 2013. The Tigers won 80-71 in Columbia, Missouri. WVU did win the last matchup between these two teams, 83-79, in the championship of the 2017 AdvoCare Invitational, in Orlando.

Ten games between teams from the two conferences will take place on one day, from noon until 8 p.m. WVU is 1-5 in this event; the lone victory was against Texas A&M at the WVU Coliseum in 2017. The Big 12 is 4-1-1 in the event, with a team-aggregate record of 35-25.
