Uniform: Gold Helmets - Gold Uniforms - Blue Pants

The West Virginia Mountaineers finally break from tradition in the Neal Brown era as they go with Gold Lids, Gold Jerseys but Blue Pants. It is the inverse of the regular jerseys.

Since 2011, the Mountaineers have worn four different uniform combinations. The most common combination is blue helmets, gold jerseys and pants. This harkens back to the very first gold rush between the Mountaineers and Louisville. The Mountaineers have twice once worn full blue uniforms (Auburn 2008). Once they wore full gold (OSU 2013) and once they wore throwback helmets, gold jerseys and white pants.

Note, this was written before last year when they also chose to wear the banana suits. Good move in 2013, good move last year. I was excited for triple G but we get blue pants. Mark it down to Neal to zag when I thought he would zig.
