Mazey Signs WVU’s First Ever Top 25 Class

In another amazing accomplishment by the WVU skipper, Randy Mazey has WVU’s first ever Top 25 signing class.

Randy Mazey

WVU Baseball has earned their first ever Top 25 Signing Class. Yes, you read that right.

Coach Randy Mazey just continues to amaze us; leading WVU back into national relevancy in baseball with successive solid seasons and back-to-back Top 30 signing classes. With the 2018 class being ranked 28th, Mazey’s 2019 group finally broke into that Top 25 group after incoming freshmen Daniel Batcher and infielder Matt McCormick elected to attend WVU instead of signing professional contracts after getting drafted late in last month’s MLB First Year Player Draft.

The 2019 class can be found here, and consists of 17 new players (11 pitchers, 6 position players).

After finishing the season ranked in the Top 25 in seemingly every major poll, Mountaineer fans should be looking forward to seeing where we are ranked in preseason polls when they get released later this year. The 2020 Mountaineer baseball team has a lot to live up to, but they’re already generating some serious buzz!

Let’s go, Mountaineers!
