The West Virginia women’s soccer team is ready to show off its new Nike uniforms. The unveiling is the second for Mountaineer athletics in the Nike rebrand, which began with the new football uniform release at the Gold-Blue Game.
There are four new kits for the women's soccer team including gold, blue, white, and grey. All four uniforms feature the new typeface developed by Nike, and the “Flying WV” is featured on both the jerseys and the shorts.

This year’s West Virginia University Sports Hall of Fame class has been announced. The nine legendary Mountaineers include Meg Bulger of the WVU women’s basketball team, Steve Dunlap and John Thornton of the Mountaineer football team, WVU wrestling’s Greg Jones and Vertus Jones, Lisa Stoia who played women’s soccer, Dr. Stefan Thynell of the rifle program, men’s basketball’s Darryl Prue, and Pete White who represented West Virginia in both men’s basketball and track & field. Induction ceremonies for these Mountaineer greats will take place in September.
The West Virginia volleyball team has released its schedule for this fall. The Mountaineers will start with weekend trips before getting into Big 12 play. The weekend events include the Delaware Classic in Newark, the San Diego State Tournament, the Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Volleyball Challenge in Honolulu, Hawaii, and the Mountaineer Invitational which WVU will host in Morgantown. WVU will host regional foes Duquesne, Eastern Kentucky, and Navy in the Mountaineer Invitational.

Redshirt junior linebacker and Parkersburg South product Luke Williams, redshirt freshman wide receiver Bryce Wheaton, and redshirt freshman offensive lineman James Gmiter were this week’s Workout Warriors. Redshirt junior linebacker Zach Sandwisch took the Academic Student of the Week honor.
