The West Virginia Mountaineers just picked up a huge offensive line talent with the commitment of Chris Mayo. Mayo, a 6’-5”, 305 pound offensive tackle from Peddle City, New Jersey visited the Mountaineers last weekend, came away extremely impressed both with the team overall and the coaches.

Neal Brown and his staff have emphasized more than just football with the recruits and that resonated with Mayo. Brown and his staff want to win football games but more importantly, they want to build and encourage these young men to become great men.

Mayo, who holds offers from a host of Power 5 schools including Auburn Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and Kentucky Wildcats among others, could be the tip of the iceberg. Tirek Austin-Cave, an inside linebacker from New Jersey, could be next to join as the Mountaineers look to get back into recruiting New Jersey.

Check out Mayo’s highlights and get hyped as Neal Brown continues to build this team.
