HEY I FORGOT WE HAVE A GAME TONIGHT

To be completely transparent, I forgot that the West Virginia University Mountaineers men’s basketball team has a game this evening until an hour before the game is scheduled to tip off. Perhaps you can file this away under fan apathy, maybe I’m just bad at sports blogging (it’s probably this), or maybe it’s just that my brain is doing everything it can to erase this season from my memory.

Whatever it is, you’re getting the preview and the game thread all rolled into one tonight. Enjoy.

HOW AFRAID SHOULD WE BE (ON A SCALE OF 1-10)?

Zero. Ok, I lied when I said this would remain at a 10 for the rest of the season. In all actuality, it should probably remain at 0 from here on out because there’s no use getting worked up about this team losing. In some ass-backwards way, we’re playing with house money. If we win, great! If we lose, we can just add it to the long list of disappoints this season that we can hopefully exorcise over the offseason.

PREDICTION THAT WILL BE WRONG

West Virginia shows more signs of improvement, and only loses by a couple points this time!

TCU 81, West Virginia 78
