West Virginia’s bigs battled foul trouble throughout the game against the Buckeyes, starting with Oscar Tshiebwe getting tagged with two offensive fouls within the first 90 seconds of the game. The Buckeyes controlled a 5-2 lead at the under-16:00 timeout, but Miles McBride was able to come off the bench and hit back-to-back threes to give the Mountaineer offense a spark.
McBride would finish 21 points on 6/12 shooting and 6/8 from the charity strip.e
West Virginia will hit the road again next weekend as they open Big 12 conference play against the No. 5 ranked Kansas Jayhawks in The Phog. Tip off time for that game will be 4:00PM ET. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
