Wednesday is Early Signing Day but West Virginia Mountaineers head coach Neal Brown is making sure that players are giving fans an early Christmas present as the coaches continue to pull in recruits. This time, the coaches have secured junior college lineman Tariq Stewart, a 247 composite three-star lineman from ASA (Advanced Software Analysis) College in New York. Stewart originally hails from Cleveland, Ohio and is a top 50 JUCO player.
Stewart gives the coaches another body who can slide right in on the offensive line, a place where the team struggled all year. The coaches know they are losing two starters on the offensive line in Kelby Wickline and AP All-American Colton McKivitz. Stewart should allow the coaches to insert a player with playing time and hopefully keep quarterback Jarret Doege upright instead of running for his life.
