The West Virginia women’s basketball team upset #10 Mississippi State in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, 71-65, on Sunday afternoon. The Mountaineers were led by freshman guard Kirsten Deans, who had a career-high of 17 points in WVU’s road victory.

Sophomore Jared Eddy and junior Sarah Osborn of the #2 West Virginia rifle team earned top-five finishes in the junior finals at the USA Shooting Winter Airgun Championships/Air Rifle Olympic Trials.

Pushkin Open Starts Indoor Campaign

The West Virginia track and field team opened its 2019-20 indoor season, as it hosted the Marty Pushkin Open at the WVU Shell Building on Saturday. Nine Mountaineers collected victories during the meet.

WVU’s Rally Comes Up Short Against Buffalo

The West Virginia wrestling team lost to Buffalo, 24-11, on Sunday in the WVU Coliseum. The Mountaineers were led by redshirt Sophomore Noah Adams, senior Brandon Ngati, Jackson Moomau, and Joey Thomas, who all collect wins in their respective weight classes. Adams is off to a great start this year, with a 12-0 record.
