After weeks of speculation, the West Virginia Mountaineers now have a new quarterback playing. The struggles of the offense have been undeniable and so head coach Neal Brown has taken it upon himself to now play Jarret Doege in place of starting quarterback Austin Kendall, replacing him late in the third quarter. The plan from the coaching staff was to redshirt Doege but the new NCAA rule that allows a player to play up to four games without burning their redshirt makes playing Doege a no-brainer in an attempt to jump start a sluggish offense. It remains to be seen if the change was simply for this game or if Brown makes the change permanent.
