- West Virginia and Pitt are meeting for the 187th time in series play that began in 1903-04. There is not another team that WVU has faced more than Pitt. The two teams met in 2017 and 2018 after a five-year break in the series. Last year, WVU won 69-59 in Morgantown and 69-60 at Pitt in 2017. Former members of the Big East Conference, this will be WVU’s third non-conference game with Pitt since 1994-95.
- West Virginia has won six in a row, nine of 10 and 19 of its last 23 games against Atlantic Coast Conference teams.
