West Virginia football released an updated depth chart for the game against Iowa State after head coach Neal Brown updated the public on injury and roster news this morning.

Notable absences from the list are safety JoVanni Stewart, who left the team after deciding to sit out the Texas game, and receiver Sean Ryan, who suffered an upper body injury on Saturday.

Brown reported that Ryan underwent surgery this morning for his injury and has no timetable for his return.

Tykee Smith replaced Stewart as the starting SPEAR safety.

Sam James is listed as the starting WR2, even after suffering an injury against Texas. Brown noted that he will “will hopefully be able to give (the media) an update later in the week.” He stated the freshman receiver is “questionable” for this weekend.
