McKivitz, a redshirt junior, is a three-year starter at right tackle, who has started 35 of 38 games. McKivitz has teamed with senior Yodny Cajuste to form one of the best tackle tandems in the Big 12. Colton is a two-time All-Big 12 Honorable mention and a three-time Academic All Big-12 Second Team selection.
Unfortunately for the new head coach, he does lose his two year starting center Matt Jones.
West Virginia’s Matt Jones, a two-year starter at center, is transferring, a source told @WatchStadium. Jones will be a grad transfer and be eligible in 2019 at his new school

Jones, as Brett McMurphy’s tweet indicates, is a two year starter at center, who has started 25 of 26 games. Jones’ departure leaves a hole along the line that will be tough to replace. During the fall camp, Jacob Buccigrossi was in line with Jones and would be the first player to replace Jones’ production.
