The West Virginia Mountaineers will host the Kansas State Wildcats in one of their favorite home color combinations on Saturday. Starting with the traditional blue helmets the Mountaineers pair that with gold jerseys and blue pants.
The Mountaineers first wore this combination against Towson when former quarterback now turned wide receiver William Crest entered the game and gave Dana Holgorsen the idea he could run some read options in his Air Raid offense.
West Virginia has won their last two games in this combination beating BYU in RFK in 2016 and beating Texas Tech last year.
