#1 Alabama Crimson Tide 51, Louisville Cardinals 14
Alabama trotted out Tua Tagovailoa started and looked good. Hurts played and look good. This is your reminder that WVU did NOT get curbstomped against Alabama, something no one else can say.
#2 Clemson Tigers 48, Furman 7
Freshman Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdowns and the Tigers rolled early and often.
#3 Georgia Bulldogs 45, Austin Peay 0
Level of competition and all that but Jake Fromme looked very good and not just for a SEC quarterback.
#4 Wisconsin Badgers 34, Western Kentucky 3
Jonathan Taylor rushed for 148 yards and 2 touchdowns, looking like a Heisman favorite for a team expected to challenge for the Big Ten title.
#5 Ohio State Buckeyes 77, Oregon State Beavers 31
Dwayne Haskins threw for 313 yards and five touchdowns as the Buckeyes were up 42-14 at half and it wasn’t even that close.
#9 Auburn Tigers 21 #6 Washington Huskies 16
Auburn got a resume building win over the Pac 12 as Jarred Stidham threw for 270 and a touchdown
#7 Oklahoma Sooners 63, Florida Atlantic 14

#8 Miami-Florida Hurricanes 17, #23 LSU Tigers 33
LSU jumped all over Miami to the tune of a 27-3 halftime lead. The game was nowhere as close as the final score indicates.
#10 Penn State Nittany Lions 45, Appalachian State 38
11 years to the day that Appy State shocked Michigan, ASU almost went into Happy Valley and pulled off another Big Ten upset. It took overtime and an interception for PSU to win.
#11 Michigan State Spartans 38, Utah State Aggies 31
Utah State came into the game thinking upset and nearly delivered but ultimately the Spartans prevailed. Personally I’d move the Spartans down in the rankings but voters aren’t that smart.
#12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 24, #14 Michigan Wolverines 17
Michigan QB Shea Patterson fumbled with 47 seconds left in the game as Michigan attempted to put together a game-tying drive. Jim Harbaugh pouts.
#13 Stanford Cardinal 31, SDSU 10
Despite winning easily Bryce Love did not look good for a Heisman front runner. Less than 30 yards rushing won’t do it.
#15 USC Trojans 43, UNLV Running Rebels 21
The Trojans gained 500 yards on offense but gave up over 400 on defense including 300 rushing yards.
#16 TCU Horned Frogs 55, Southern 7
Shawn Robinson only played one half and yet he threw three touchdowns and ran for two more as TCU scored on its first six possessions.
#17 West Virginia Mountaineers 40, Tennessee Volunteers 14
#18 Mississippi St. Bulldogs 63, SF Austin 6
Keyaton Thompson only completed 13 passes but 5 of them went for touchdowns as the Bulldogs rolled easily.
#19 Florida State Seminoles , #20 Virginia Tech Hokies
Teams play Monday evening and will be updated after the game.
#21 UCF Knights 56, Connecticut Huskies 17
The “defending national champions because we didn’t lose a game” rolled easily in the Civil ConFLiCT.
#22 Boise State Broncos 56, Troy 20
Boise State had no trouble getting going against Troy as quarterback Brett Rypien threw four touchdowns.
#23 Texas Longhorns 29, Maryland Terrapins 34
Texas scheduled a home-and-home with Maryland and lost both games https://t.co/SjUTyr6grq

#24 Oregon Ducks 58, Bowling Green Falcons 24
Dark horse Heisman candidate Justin Herbert threw five touchdowns but he was up and down as a passer. He’ll need to do better if he wants to be in New York.
