During the weekly teleconference, the Big 12 announced that West Virginia’s conference opener against Kansas State will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. This will be the (hopefully) third nationally-televised game for the Mountaineers that avoids the early time slot.

As has become customary, the first home conference game asks fans to “Stripe the Stadium, ” with odd-numbered sections wearing blue and even-numbered sections wearing gold. This is the earliest date the Mountaineers have opened the conference season at home since playing OU on Sept. 20, 2014.

Tickets to the game are still available through the University. Parking lots will still open at 7 a.m. and the Mountaineer Mantrip will being at approximately 12:45 p.m.
