West Virginia University forward Wesley Harris has been arrested and charged with two misdemeanor accounts of battery and destruction of property. The story was first confirmed by Chris Anderson and Mike Casazza of EerSports.com.
According to Anderson and Casazza, Harris was driving near the intersection of Stewart Street and Jones avenue. A vehicle approached on the wrong side of the road. Harris and the other drive began arguing and got out of their respective cars. Harris then “threw the other driver into this car, placing a large dent and a scratch on the vehicle, then threw the other driver to the ground where Harris struck him in the face several times, breaking (the other driver’s) nose”. A bystander who worked for the West Virginia University Athletic Department identified Harris. This took place on July 16th. The arrest warrant was issued on July 18th. Harris voluntarily appeared at the Morgantown Police Department and has a hearing scheduled for October 22nd.
