Jevon Carter will leave his Mountaineer career as an All-American. The Associated Press has named the Mountaineer guard to their second-team All-American list. He was also named a second team All-American by Sporting News. He made the third-team All-American list for USA Today, NBC Sports and National Association of Basketball Coaches.

Carter, who led the Mountaineers in points (17.3), minutes (35.5) assist (6.6), steals (3.0), and free throw percentage (85.8%). Carter finished his career as the all-time steals leader at WVU. He became the first Power 5 player to compile 1,500 points, 500 rebounds, 500 assists and 300 steals.

Carter was the heart and soul of the defense known as “Press Virginia”. Carter was able to use his work-ethic and quick hands to harass ball-handlers for 40 minutes and 94 feet. Carter made life hell for everyone who played Bob Huggins’ squad.

Thanks for all the memories Jevon and congratulations on the honor.
