The Mountaineers have an opportunity to keep themselves in the Big 12 race and keep their own destiny in their hands.

OPENING THOUGHTS

I don’t want to see anyone question any college athlete’s toughness ever again, after seeing the Mountaineers fight through the flu on Saturday to completely dominate Kansas State. I woke up in the middle of the night with sick as a dog, and I can barely stand sitting in front of a computer to write this preview. I can’t even imagine how terrible the guys felt while they were on the court.

But now here we are. The Rematch. Carter vs. Young II. Do we see Teddy Buckets make an impact like he did in the game in Morgantown? What does the starting lineup look like now that everyone is hopefully over the Black Plague? Will I be able to remain conscious for a 9:00PM game?

HOW AFRAID SHOULD WE BE (ON A SCALE OF 1-10)?

Ten. One doesn’t simply march into Norman, Oklahoma and dominate the Sooners. While they’ve also been on a bit of a slump, they will be prepared to defend their home court against the team that beat them a month ago.

PREDICTION THAT WILL BE WRONG

West Virginia plays another great 40 minutes of basketball, and nails a buzzer beater to sweep the series and take sole ownership of 3rd in the Big 12 conference, behind Kansas and Texas Tech.
