West Virginia Mountaineers head coach Dana Holgorsen announced today that backup quarterback Chris Chugunov will graduate in May, and will not use his fifth year of eligibility at West Virginia University.

Chugunov, a redshirt Junior, took over for the Mountaineers when Will Grier suffered a broken hand during their game against the Texas Longhorns. West Virginia went on to lose that game, as well as the two games that followed with Chugunov under center.

Chugunov is the second West Virginia quarterback to transfer out of the program, leaving Dana Holgorsen and Jake Spavital with just three signal callers on scholarship.
