• West Virginia and Pitt are meeting for the 186th time in series play that began in 1903-04. There is not another team that WVU has faced more than Pitt. Last year, the two teams met for the first time since 2012 in the Big East with WVU winning at Pitt 69-60.
• WVU has won five in a row, eight of nine and 18 of its last 22 games against Atlantic Coast Conference teams. West Virginia is 118-31 in non-conference regular season games under Bob Huggins, including a 67-6 mark at home.
• VegasInsider.com currently lists West Virginia as a 11.5 point favorite over the Panthers, with the over/under set at 143.5 total points.
