• West Virginia and Youngstown State will meet for the fifth time on the basketball court. West Virginia has won all four meetings in the series, including a 3-0 mark in Morgantown and 2-0 record at the WVU Coliseum. The last meeting took place on Dec. 1, 1982, a 105-79 Mountaineer win at the Coliseum.
• WVU and Youngstown State begin a three-game series. WVU is scheduled to play at Youngstown State next season at the Covelli Centre, and the Penguins and Mountaineers will play a third game in Morgantown in 2020-21.
• West Virginia is 184-43 in its last 227 games against unranked teams, including winners of 94 of its last 108 at the WVU Coliseum.
• VegasInsider.com currently lists West Virginia as a 26 point favorite over the Penguins, with the over/under set at 155.5 total points.
