Week 10 Top 25 Recap and My Top 25

Statement Saturday lived up to the billing and we can start making December plans for some teams

NCAA Football: West Virginia at Texas Bethany Hocker-USA TODAY Sports

Note: Rankings are Playoff and not AP/Coaches

#1 Alabama Crimson Tide 29, #3 LSU Tigers 0f

Tua throws his first interception of the year but it doesn’t matter as Alabama shuts out LSU for the fourth time at home in the last 25 years.

#2 Clemson Tigers 77, Louisville Cardinals 17

Dabo Swinney is just gonna run the score up and leave no doubt.

#4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 31, Northwestern Wildcats 21

Despite the loss, the Wildcats can face the Ohio State/Michigan winner in the Big 12 title game by beating Minnesota and Illinois. Even next week’s game against Iowa doesn’t matter.

#5 Michigan Wolverines 42, #14 Penn State Nittany Lions 7

#RevengeTourSZN

#6 Georgia Bulldogs 34, #9 Kentucky Wildcats 17

The win clinches the SEC East for the Bulldogs and Alabama’s win clinches the West. So the next three weeks don’t matter for conference rights. The SEC is boring.

#7 Oklahoma Sooners 51, Texas Tech Red Raiders 46

Freshman Alan Bowman left the game at halftime after he suffered complications from the collapsed lung originally injured against West Virginia. Thoughts and prayers for the young man.

#8 Washington St. Cougars 19, Cal Bears 13

#TeamChaos wants to see a WAZZOU-WVU National Title.

#10 Ohio State Buckeyes 36, Nebraska 31

Scott Frost despite having the worst season in Nebraska history, has his players playing hard. That is the sign of a great coach.

Missouri Tigers 38, #11 Florida Gators 17

I did the Gator chomp while writing as was flagged for a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty. Missouri was not.

#12 UCF Knights 52, Temple Owls 40

This type of game is exactly what the playoff committee needs to keep UCF out of the playoffs. “No defense against Temple!”

#13 West Virginia Mountaineers 42, #17 Texas Longhorns 41

To quote one of my favorite sports movies, you can’t say that Dana Holgorsen doesn’t have marbles.

Arizona State Sun Devils 38, #15 Utah Utes 20

Herm Edwards plays to win the game. If ASU wins out and Utah loses to Oregon, Edwards could win the division. Not bad for a ridiculed offseason hire.

Purdue Boilermakers 38, #16 Iowa Hawkeyes 36

Conference Cannibalism at its finest.

#18 Mississippi State Bulldogs 45, Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 3

The games in November matter the most. Unless you are the SEC because then you get to finish up that difficult non-conference schedule.

#19 Syracuse Orange 41, Wake Forest Demon Deacons 24

Enjoy whatever third-level bowl you get relegated to Syracuse because you play in the ACC.

Auburn Tigers 28, #20 Texas A&M Aggies 24

The SEC self-fulfilling prophecy continues. “The conference is so good because they beat so many ranked teams”. Now Auburn and A&M will flip because Auburn beat a ranked team...

#21 N.C. State Wolfpack 47, Florida State Seminoles 28

Seminoles....yikes

#22 Boston College Eagles 31, Virginia Tech Hokies 21

WVU played VT one year too early.

#23 Fresno State Bulldogs 48, UNLV Running Rebels 3

A complete thumping by the Bulldogs that will result in them playing on December 28th at 2 PM.

#24 Iowa St. Cyclones 27, Kansas Jayhawks 3

Hakeem Butler is mean and took the Jayhawks lunch money.

Pittsburgh Panthers 23, #25 Virginia Cavaliers 13

The Panthers can win the ACC Coastal. Just...this conference is so bad...
