Here you go boys and girls, the West Virginia Mountaineers will wear the traditional Blue-Blue-Gold uniforms to get themselves back on track against the Bears from Waco. West Virginia, who the last time we saw them was putting up a 20-year low offensive performance, is at home under the lights for the first time this season.
The Mountaineers have not worn their traditional garbs much in this new uniform scheme. The two times this combination has been worn - Texas Tech in 2013 and Youngstown State in 2016. The first time the Mountaineers wore this, Texas Tech tight end Jace Amaro ran over, and over, and over the Mountaineers. The game against Youngstown State was much better and was part of a 10-win season.
Given that this game is on national television at night, I am excited to see the Mountaineers get back on track with the right uniforms. Time to “leave no doubt tonight, they shouldn’t have played the Old Gold and Blue”
