You will enjoy listening to Tim Brando talk about the Mountaineers
For the first time this season, the Mountaineers will play on Fox Sports. You will need a mountain of stats to prove to me that Fox Sports does not handle college football, especially Big 12 football, better than anyone else. We won’t get the “A Team” in Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt, but we get Tim Brando, who in his own right, has waxed poetic about the Mountaineers the last few years. That alone will make this game more enjoyable, as will the fact that these guys won’t feel the need to talk about Tua Tagovailoa and Alabama Crimson Tide during every lull in action.
Looking at tape of @CycloneFB from last weeks win at Stillwater. I’m even more convinced this Primetime matchup with undefeated and #6 @WVUfootball is gonna be an exciting one on @FS1. The Freshman Purdy has incredible upside. @willgrier_ 1 of the BEST! pic.twitter.com/oWZYq9KJDl

Tony Gibson will have an answer for Brock Purdy
Iowa St. Cyclones head coach Matt Campbell did us a solid by playing Brock Purdy last week. I nearly tweeted that if I were going to gameplan for the Mountaineers, I would simply insert my mobile backup QB who had never taken a snap before on the second play of the game. It was only one game, but one game gave us enough of a glimpse that Purdy played a wonderful game and we better taken him seriously. Purdy went 18/23 (78%!!) 318 yards and 4 touchdowns along with 19 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown. ::eyes emoji::
The good news is that now Gibson knows. He doesn’t have a ton of tape to watch but his #DAWGS won’t be thinking Purdy is just another freshman after that performance.
318 pass yards + 84 rushing yards = 402 yards of offense (including 5 TDs)

Ames will be rocking
Going out on a limb here, but Iowa State tweeted out an all black alternate earlier this season with the hashtag #WinInTheDark. A night game in Ames with your all-black uniforms would be something that would get that fanbased pumped.
