Alabama once again leads the national odds, because you just don’t bet against Nick Saban. Dabo Sweeney’s Clemson Tigers are next and after winning a title in 2016 and making the playoffs in 2017, you would expect the Tigers to be a favorite. The Georgia Bulldogs, with freshman quarterback Nick Fromm figure to challenge Saban for SEC supremacy.
As for the Mountaineers, with sensational junior quarterback Will Grier choosing to return for his senior year and touchdown machine David Sills following suit, a Big 12 title and spot in the playoffs is what fans are setting their sights on. Head coach Dana Holgorsen will finally return a majority of talent on both sides of the ball and does so as Heisman trophy winner Baker Mayfield graduates Oklahoma. Oklahoma State Cowboys quarterback Mason Rudolph and TCU Horned Frogs senior Kenny Hill also graduate, leaving Grier as the most accomplished quarterback in the Big 12.
2017 may be done but we can’t wait for 2018.
