PLAYERS TO WATCH
- Teddy Allen: Teddy Buckets made sure everyone realized he is a forced to be reckoned with, as he led the Mountaineers in scoring for the third game in a row on Saturday night. If Allen has another Teddy Buckets night, West Virginia should be able to roll easily.
- Manu Lecomte: Lecomte leads the Bears, averaging 16.8 points per game, and you never want to overlook a guy named Manu that plays for a Texas-based basketball team.
HOW AFRAID SHOULD WE BE (ON A SCALE OF 1-10)?
Six. I’m only afraid of this game because the fact that Baylor owns the series over us by a pretty decent margin. Nothing ever comes easy in the Big 12, and this matchup against the Bears is the perfect opportunity for the Mountaineers to trip up following a HUGE win. If we’re not careful, the Bears could celebrate Chip Gaines’ favorite day with our 14-game win streak.
PREDICTION THAT WILL BE WRONG
Baylor puts a little scare into the Mountaineers early, but Teddy Buckets and Sagaba Konate have huge games to put West Virginia over the Bears.
