Kenny Robinson Named A Breakout Star For West Virginia In 2018

All aboard the 2018 West Virginia Hype Train

NCAA Football: Oklahoma State at West Virginia Ben Queen-USA TODAY Sports

The West Virginia Mountaineers 2018 Hype Train is going full force now as Athlon Sports has named Kenny Robinson one of its Top 30 Breakout Players for 2018. Here is what the publication had to say

Kenny Robinson, S, West Virginia

Robinson made an impact for West Virginia’s defense as a true freshman in 2017 and is only going to get better with another offseason to work under coordinator Tony Gibson. Robinson played in all 13 games and ranked sixth on the team with 46 tackles. He also broke up three passes and tied for the team lead with three interceptions.

Here at the Musket, we’ve been on the Kenny Robinson hype train for a while now, ever since he joined the Mountaineers over out-of-state rival Pitt.

Robinson really came into his own this year as a true freshman. Against Iowa State, Kenny showed the ability to cover receivers and defend quick passes, despite what the referees might have suggested. Against Oklahoma State, Robinson did all he could to put WVU back in a game it was trying to leave.

There is still room on the 2018 Hype Train, get on now because next season is looking to be special for the Mountaineers.
