New, 2 comments

An injury ended Kevin White’s season but injuries also opened the door for players Nick Kwiatkoski and Mario Alford.

NFL: Oakland Raiders at Tennessee Titans Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
  • CB Daryl Worley - Carolina Panthers: Worley got the start at cornerback for the Panthers. He finished with 4 tackles and 2 passes defended while playing 60 total snaps. Worley briefly left the game after cramping up due to dehydration but quickly returned to the game.
  • LB Nick Kwiatkoski - Chicago Bears: Kwiatkoski played 30 total snaps but only seven of them came on defense while the rest came on special teams. He finished the game with 2 tackles. Bears starting linebacker, Jerrell Freeman, was placed on injured reserved yesterday. As a result, Kwiatkoski will be starting for the Bears in Week 2 and most likely for the rest of the season.
  • WR Kevin White - Chicago Bears: White finished with 2 receptions for 6 yards while playing 47 snaps. He left the game early with an injury and was placed on injured reserve yesterday with a fractured shoulder blade. White has only appeared in five games in three years in the NFL. One has to wonder if he’s running out of chances.
  • WR Tavon Austin - Los Angeles Rams: Austin only played seven offensive snaps and it resulted in just 1 reception for 7 yards. He was in on seven special teams snaps and returned one kickoff for 13 yards. He also returned three punts for 15 yards but fumbled one and it was recovered by the Colts.
  • QB Geno Smith - New York Giants: Smith was the No. 2 quarterback behind Eli Manning and did not see the field.
  • LB J.T. Thomas - New York Giants: Thomas did not play any defensive snaps but he did lead the team with 23 special team snaps. He did not record any statistics.
  • LB Bruce Irvin - Oakland Raiders: Irvin played 68 total snaps including 63 on defense. He finished with 1 tackle and 1 pass defended.
  • S Karl Joseph - Oakland Raiders: Joseph led the Raiders in total tackles (9) and solo tackles (6). He also had 1 pass defended. He was in on 70 snaps including 64 on defense.
  • CB Rasul Douglas - Philadelphia Eagles: Douglas was inactive for the game. However, with the Eagles losing CB Ronald Darby for an extended period of time with a fractured ankle, Douglas should be active on Sunday against the Chiefs.
  • WR Shelton Gibson - Philadelphia Eagles: Like Douglas, Gibson was inactive for the game.
  • RB Wendell Smallwood - Philadelphia Eagles: Smallwood finished the day with 4 carries for, 4 yards. He also had 1 reception for 5 yards. He played 23 with 15 of them coming on the offensive side of the ball.
  • LB Terence Garvin - Seattle Seahawks: Garvin got the start and had 3 tackles, 1 sack and 1 tackle for loss. He was in on 40 total snaps and 31 of them came on the defensive side of the ball. Garvin’s sack came in the second quarter when he dropped Aaron Rodgers for a six yard loss.
  • G Mark Glowinski - Seattle Seahawks: Glowinkski got the start at right guard and played every offensive snap (49) and contributed on eight special teams snaps.
  • G Quinton Spain - Tennessee Titans: Spain got the start at right guard for the Titans and played on every offensive snap (64) plus five special teams snaps.

  • Adam “Pacman” Jones served his one-game suspension during Week 1 and will return in Week 2.
  • After the Chicago Bears placed Kevin White on IR, they signed WR/RET Mario Alford to their practice squad.
