The Big 12 and West Virginia University have announced the game time for the first Big 12 game of the year for the Mountaineers. The Mountaineers will take on the Kansas Jayhawks at noon on September 23rd. The game will be televised on ESPNU. All ESPN games can be streamed through the WatchESPN app.
The Mountaineers are led by Will Grier, who has completed 50-of-78 passes for 723 yards, (64.1%) and 8 touchdowns to only 1 interceptions through two weeks. Grier has been named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week in both Week 1 and Week 2.
Grier’s favorite target is David Sills, who leads the nation in touchdown catches with five.
Kansas won their home opener again Southeast Missouri State 38-16. Junior quarterback Peyton Bender completed 23 of 37 passes for 364 yards and 4 touchdowns. Bender dazzled again against Central Michigan, throwing 62 times for 323 yards. Unfortunately a pair of interceptions helped Central Michigan turn the tide.
